The pattern is the reusable tool that creates the mold cavity; the core is the expendable sand insert placed inside that cavity to form hollow spaces in the finished casting. Confusing these two tools leads to miscommunication on drawings, incorrect RFQ specs, and costly back-and-forth with your foundry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le mod\u00e8le fa\u00e7onne l'ext\u00e9rieur de votre pi\u00e8ce coul\u00e9e. Le noyau fa\u00e7onne l'int\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Que fait un mod\u00e8le ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Un mod\u00e8le est une r\u00e9plique de la pi\u00e8ce coul\u00e9e finale, construite l\u00e9g\u00e8rement surdimensionn\u00e9e pour compenser le retrait du m\u00e9tal, les sur\u00e9paisseurs d'usinage et les d\u00e9pouilles. L'acier r\u00e9tr\u00e9cit d'environ 2,1\u202f% en refroidissant ; la fonte grise d'environ 1,1\u202f%. Le mod\u00e8le tient compte de cette contraction pour que la pi\u00e8ce coul\u00e9e finie soit aux dimensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les surfaces verticales n\u00e9cessitent une d\u00e9pouille de 0,5 \u00e0 3 degr\u00e9s \u2014 une l\u00e9g\u00e8re conicit\u00e9 qui permet au mod\u00e8le de se retirer proprement du sable compact\u00e9 sans d\u00e9chirer le moule. Si vous omettez la d\u00e9pouille, vous endommagerez l'empreinte du moule \u00e0 chaque retrait du mod\u00e8le.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le mat\u00e9riau du mod\u00e8le d\u00e9pend du nombre de pi\u00e8ces coul\u00e9es dont vous avez besoin. Un mod\u00e8le en bois dur convient pour une ou deux coul\u00e9es. La r\u00e9sine d'outillage permet des s\u00e9ries mod\u00e9r\u00e9es \u00e0 une fraction du co\u00fbt du m\u00e9tal. Les mod\u00e8les en aluminium ou en fonte sont la norme pour les volumes de production car ils conservent leur pr\u00e9cision dimensionnelle sur des milliers de moules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'erreur la plus courante que je vois dans les nouveaux mod\u00e8les est de les traiter comme de simples copies du plan de la pi\u00e8ce. Un mod\u00e8le est un outillage con\u00e7u par ing\u00e9nierie. Il int\u00e8gre la tol\u00e9rance de retrait, la d\u00e9pouille, les sur\u00e9paisseurs d'usinage et parfois une compensation de d\u00e9formation pour les formes asym\u00e9triques \u2014 le tout int\u00e9gr\u00e9 dans un seul outil physique. Si le mod\u00e8le est erron\u00e9, chaque pi\u00e8ce coul\u00e9e qui suit h\u00e9rite de l'erreur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Que fait un noyau ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Un noyau est un placeholder temporaire en sable agglom\u00e9r\u00e9 qui occupe l'espace \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur de l'empreinte du moule o\u00f9 vous souhaitez un trou, un passage ou une section creuse dans la pi\u00e8ce coul\u00e9e finie. Lorsque le m\u00e9tal en fusion remplit le moule, il s'\u00e9coule autour du noyau. The <a href=\"https:\/\/kurtfoundry.com\/fr\/make-core-sand-casting\/\">noyau de moulage au sable<\/a> cr\u00e9e cet al\u00e9sage \u2014 aucun usinage requis. Sans noyau, vous couleriez un bloc solide et devriez percer ou al\u00e9ser le passage par la suite, ce qui est lent, co\u00fbteux et parfois g\u00e9om\u00e9triquement impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les noyaux n\u00e9cessitent quatre propri\u00e9t\u00e9s pour survivre \u00e0 la coul\u00e9e : la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 pour \u00e9vacuer les gaz pi\u00e9g\u00e9s, la r\u00e9sistance pour supporter la pression du m\u00e9tal liquide, la r\u00e9fractarit\u00e9 pour r\u00e9sister aux temp\u00e9ratures de coul\u00e9e, et l'effritabilit\u00e9 pour se briser proprement lors du d\u00e9cochage. Un noyau qui manque de l'une de ces propri\u00e9t\u00e9s cr\u00e9e des d\u00e9fauts ou refuse de sortir de la pi\u00e8ce coul\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toutes les pi\u00e8ces coul\u00e9es n'ont pas besoin d'un noyau. Un support massif, un contrepoids ou une plaque de montage n'utilise qu'un mod\u00e8le. Les noyaux entrent en jeu uniquement lorsque votre pi\u00e8ce comporte des cavit\u00e9s internes ou des passages que les demi-moules (ch\u00e2ssis sup\u00e9rieur et inf\u00e9rieur) ne peuvent pas former seuls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Comment le mod\u00e8le et le noyau fonctionnent ensemble<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le mod\u00e8le est press\u00e9 dans le sable dans les demi-ch\u00e2ssis sup\u00e9rieur (chape) et inf\u00e9rieur (semelle), cr\u00e9ant ainsi l'empreinte externe. Le mod\u00e8le est retir\u00e9. Ensuite, le noyau \u2014 fabriqu\u00e9 s\u00e9par\u00e9ment dans une bo\u00eete \u00e0 noyaux \u2014 est plac\u00e9 dans le moule avant la fermeture des deux moiti\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pattern and core are designed together even though they are separate tools. The pattern carries features called core prints: shaped protrusions that create recessed seats in the <a href=\"https:\/\/kurtfoundry.com\/fr\/sand-casting-mold-types-when-use\/\">moule en sable<\/a> o\u00f9 repose le noyau. Un d\u00e9salignement de 2 degr\u00e9s au niveau de la port\u00e9e du noyau devient un probl\u00e8me d'\u00e9paisseur de paroi sur la pi\u00e8ce coul\u00e9e finie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ma\u00eetriser la terminologie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsque vous envoyez un plan \u00e0 une fonderie, sp\u00e9cifier \u201c mod\u00e8le \u201d alors que vous voulez dire \u201c noyau \u201d \u2014 ou vice versa \u2014 retarde le devis et peut aboutir \u00e0 un outillage construit avec une intention erron\u00e9e. Le mod\u00e8le est l'outil ma\u00eetre r\u00e9utilisable de la fonderie. Le noyau est l'insert en sable consommable pour les caract\u00e9ristiques internes. Le moule est l'empreinte en sable qu'ils produisent ensemble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One detail that catches most design engineers off guard: the foundry designs both the pattern and the core, not the customer. Your job is to define the casting geometry and tolerances. The foundry determines how to tool it \u2014 which surfaces become the parting line, where core prints go, and how many cores the part needs.
